“it is company policy that any jobs over £10 must be paid upfront”

If the customer does not pay you, let the office know straight away and we will block the customer and try to call the customer to get them to pay the fare – It is a criminal offence to make of without payment and that customer could be arrested by the police (dial 101 to report this)

  • Customer Service Tips:

    • Avoid talking to passengers about politics / political views.

    • Plan the route you are going to take before you leave.

    • Always aim to be a few minutes early to each pick-up. You’ll be relaxed and ready to

provide a good service. Don’t give the customer a reason to not say thank you.

Remember what was the point in the customer pre-booking if you’re going to be late.

    • Make the next job the best Journey you’ve ever provided.

    • Wear a shirt and tie. You’re bound to earn more tips if you look the part.

    • Clean your car every day if not more. The more often you clean your car the quicker

    and easier each clean becomes.

    • When doing a Meet & Greet at the airport get yourself a whiteboard and a black marker. It looks more professional.

    • Those who are best at customer service – What would you think of your service if you were picking yourself up and taking yourself somewhere? Mark yourself out of 10 on Timekeeping, Professionalism, Cleanliness, Smartness,Helpfulness, Politeness, Local Knowledge & Conversation Skills.

    • Ask the passengers if they are comfortable, too Hot or Cold, Music, Radio or None. It

can be a friendly conversation starter if the situation is awkward.

    • Keep to the speed limit. We’ve all been driven by someone who we feel is driving too

fast. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling.

    • Road rage – Another driver is going to do something stupid today, act like a

professional, stay calm, act like you’ve seen it all before and your passengers will

remain calm and relaxed because you are.

    • Help with the luggage. Always load the car yourself it looks professional, and that

way passengers can’t scratch your vehicle.

    • Never even look at your mobile phone when driving. Say no more!!

    • Don’t keep personal belongings in your boot. If the passenger’s luggage is a tight fit

and your weekly shop is in the boot in the passenger’s eyes you are causing the

    issue.

    • Keep your windows clean, glass cleaner and some clean microfibre cloths in your car

at all times. Remember your passengers are always looking out your windows!

    • Make sure you have enough fuel to complete your journey before you start,

passengers don’t want to be delayed by what they see as poor planning.

    • When talking to passengers listen to their response, if it is mostly “Yes” or “No”

answers they might be wishing you just would shut up and drive. Sometimes it is not

easy to tell, experience really is everything here and even experienced drivers can

find it difficult to get the balance right. Remember: Just because you want a chat,

doesn’t mean they want to. This is especially important when it’s really early or late.

    • If you cannot find a passenger, do as much as you can to prove you were there. Call

    their phone number several times.

    • Always have air-freshener in the car, you cannot stop passengers bringing smells into

the car with them, you can stop the smell once they have left the vehicle.

    4. Always travel the shortest route (use Waze which gives you this option) any deviation from the shortest route must be approved by the customer and they must be told it will cost them more money (whilst motorway tends to be the quickest, it is not the shortest).
